YES! You read it right! A BRAND NEW MAP!
AFTER YEARS, A NEW MAP! Not just a new map, but one that EVERYONE has been playing and can't get enough of.
Rfury-st5, the newest map by Foogs is a HUGE hit.
It is available on both the Kansas and Chicago NA-QUAKEWORLD servers, you can download the LOCATION (LOC) files needed for teamplay here:
RFURY-ST5 LOCS
This also features LOCs for his older map, "Vaporize_beta103", which I personally love for 2on2.
Try them out and report any suggests to foogs on irc

Intermediate Playoffs! |

It's time for the Intermediates to carry the playoff torch! Intermediate Brackets are viewable here
Playoffs will be best of 5, no map will be played twice! The following will serve as a guide for ALL players in ALL divisions on how to determine map selection:
Because we have 5 maps in the pool, no map will be played twice, lets see those well rounded skills :). Once a map is played, it CANNOT be played again. Follow this guide to map selection and message me with any questions or suggestions:
Start of Match:
Map 1: Chosen via "RND Player1 Player2" (player whos name is returned can either pick first or force opponent to pick first)
Map 2: The player who did not pick the first map, now picks
Map 3: If a player is down 0-2, that player will pick the third map. Alternatively, if the series is tied, the player that picked the first map will choose the third.
Map 4: Whichever player did NOT pick the third map, will now pick
Map 5: Whichever map is remaining from the pool of 5 shall be played (process of elimination)
(Match reporting still required as per standard rules)
I am asking all players to schedule games in advance so that players may plan to watch your matches, there was great interest in rookie playoffs and I expect intermediate to continue with great success.
Please message me with any comments, suggestions or concerns,
Rusty" |

Rookie playoffs have been progressing well, we have seen some good matches thus far, it's amazing to see how far all of our rookies have come since the season started.
The playoff bracket is at the end and the final match will feature Quark vs Aardappel. Stay tuned for match times and info to watch them battle it out for the title of Rookie Duel Championship!
In other news, the last day to play Intermediate matches from the regular season will be Sunday, March 19th. At that time, the top 8 players of the regular season will be taken to the finals based on their points standings. Many of you are lacking some games and are just outside of that magical 8th spot, get them played and you might have a shot at the title!
